Types of Life Insurance

There are two main types of life insurance: term life insurance and whole life insurance.

Term life insurance provides coverage for a set period of time, usually 10-30 years. If you die during that time period, your beneficiaries will receive a death benefit. If you live past the term, the policy expires and you are no longer covered

Whole life insurance covers you for your entire life as long as you continue to pay premiums. It also includes an investment component, known as the cash value, which builds up over time and can be accessed through loans or withdrawals.

Why You Need Life Insurance

You may not think you need life insurance, but there are many reasons to consider it.

If you have a spouse or partner, children, or other dependents, life insurance can provide for them if you die. Even if you are single and have no dependents, life insurance can be used to cover final expenses, such as funeral costs and outstanding debts.
