Trista Jackson

Trista grew up in a family that did not have horses, but she used any and every opportunity she could find to spend time and learn more about them. She volunteered cleaning stalls in exchange for riding lessons at a hunter jumper/dressage barn, to showing naturally gaited Tennessee Walking Horses as a teenager. Later, she gravitated to her love for Quarter horses, where she had the unique experience of managing a barn for an Equine Therapy program for one of the leading addiction treatment centers in the nation.

Trista is married to her best friend and husband, Jeff, who grew up ranching using Quarter horses on their family ranch in Northeast Texas. She helps her husband use their ranch horses to manage their beef cattle operation on the family place, as well as raise incentive-bred colts out of some of the top bloodlines today. She also dabbles in stock horse shows and cow horse classes from time to time.

She jokes that when she was a kid, she used to run a Breyer model horse breeding program on the floor of the living room and always dreamed of having the real thing. Now the “real thing” of a breeding program is a lot of fun but also a lot more work than those days as a kid. Her background in seeing horses in different roles and disciplines has taught her that every horse has value no matter what their role may be, and insurance can offer peace of mind to every owner. She states, “Insurance is one more piece of the puzzle for caring for the horses we love.”
