Colby Wahlert
Hi, my name is Colby Wahlert. I grew up in northern Colorado and was very blessed to live the ranching and rodeo lifestyle. On the weekends and during the summer you could find me at a rodeo or a barrel race somewhere! Along with having our ranch and performance horses, my sister and I helped my dad take care of 1100 cow-calf pairs on a 26,000 acre ranch just five miles south of the Wyoming state line. My family made the move to Texas in the fall of 2013, I continued with junior high and high school rodeoing till I was a junior in high school. From the time I was 17 till this past year I had the awesome opportunity to work for some of the best cutting and reined cowhorse trainers in the industry. Needless to say, I’ve been around the performance horse, ranching, and rodeo industry my entire life!
This last year I had the opportunity to work at a great equine insurance office and gain knowledge into the equine insurance world! I also developed a passion for helping people with their equine insurance needs, as I know how valuable your horse is to you no matter the discipline!
In my free time, I’m usually messing with my yearling colt Slater or doing something out at the barn. I plan to rope on him when he’s older! This spring and summer I will be attending cosmetology school in Weatherford, TX where I’ll be obtaining my cosmetologist and esthetician license as well.
